The day starts at 10am and finishes around 4pm the following day, £60 for the 2 days includes entry in to the Junior Combned Training on the Friday
If you can only make the one day, no problem just give us a call and speak to Trudy and we will get you booked in. AGE LIMIT ON THOSE STAYING OVER NIGHT
Don't forget your packed lunch for the first day, you will be hungry!!!
This is the next best thing to actually having a pony of your own. During school holiday periods, here's the chance to learn all about how to care for a pony. The days will include any of the following -
Catch the pony
Groom, pick out hooves, plait the pony's mane and tail
Tack up
Points of the pony quiz
Riding lesson
Feed your pony
Hack throughout the farm
Gymkhana games
Muck out
Clean tack
Points of the saddle quiz
This an opportunity for a child to have complete care of a particular pony throughout the day, though always under supervision. It is a chance to interact with a pony one-on-one, to learn about their character and really get to understand them. More than just riding, pony days are an opportunity for the children to learn to handle the pony in the stable, on the ground, to lead them, groom them and even to muck out. The emphasis is on fun and on building confidence and skills
