Get Started Stable Management Day
This is a day of learning how to perform the basic yard duties to the highest standards
· Mucking out and selection of the correct bedding for the individual horse/pony
· Rug selection and fitting
· Feeding – Forage & concentrate selection ie quality and amounts
· Turning a horse out for riding in the correctly selected tack for the discipline also correct fitting of associated equipment ie boots, bandages etc
· Turning the horse/pony out in the field, checking field fencing is safe and fencing is of good standard. Different fencing which maybe used, pros & cons
All this and more, so if you want to learn how it should be done in a safe environment under the tuition of an experienced and knowledgeable instructor this is the day for you.
This is a great day for any budding yard assistants, hoping to come and assist with the riding school or for people who just want to learn more about the daily care of a horse/pony, mums with pony mad girls/boys who are left looking after the pony, or new horse owners who want to learn more about the basics
This will be a busy day with a lot to fit in so will start at 9am and finish at 4.30pm a packed lunch and lots of warm suitable clothing as we will be outside for most of the day, hot drinks and biscuits provided.
