2 days of fabulous fun at Elms Farm Equestrian Centre
Sponsored and subsidised by Elms Farm EC and Julie Frizzell
Elms Farm EC’s Trudy Clark and Julie Frizzell, director of Dressage Coaching UK, have joined forces to offer grass roots riders a unique opportunity – a training camp designed specifically for riders at intro or prelim level who want to have fun with their flatwork and maybe even do a competitive test!
The 2 days, held over Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th July 2012, will follow a similar programme to the training camps our potential Olympic hopefuls will be doing –but the difference being it is pitched perfectly for riders who feel they are at Intro (Walk/Trot test), Prelim or Novice. Of course, we would love to help riders who are above this too and can cater for everyone’s needs.
Meeting at Elms on the Wednesday morning for a 10 am start, the Bootcamp runs until around 3pm on the Thursday afternoon. There will be a full programme of riding and unmounted sessions; stabling is available, as is accommodation in the Elms Farm apartment! Lunches, BBQ and welcome drinks and nibbles are also included. You really will feel like a superstar but be among a bunch of like minded people
who want to put a smile into their schooling.
Over the 2 days, there will be ridden coaching in a variety of flatwork spheres including pole work, test riding guidance and top tips on either improving or starting competing. There will be a selection of unmounted workshops, including improving your position, arena awareness, bandaging and even, if you want, a session on basic horse first aid. There will also be a very informal lecture-demo during which Julie, working with normal riders and horses, will show how any horse can, with the right training plan and approach, ‘make it’ in the dressage world. You will also have the chance to compete, in a very informal way, at any test you fancy tackling. As one of only 10 riders on the Bootcamp, we guarantee a very special 2 days!
With both Trudy and Julie sponsoring the Bootcamp, we are able to offer almost £300’s worth of training for only £85 per rider!
